The report showcases the most in-demand tech skills for 2022 and provides a range of stats on the local tech talent pool, skills trends, stats on the cost of living across multiple cities, and the benefits beyond salary that candidates are looking for.

Lisa Bartlett, Talent Regional Sales Director of Germany, reflected on the year the technology recruitment industry has had, and his predictions for 2022. “The dominance and popularity of Berlins start-up scene continues to influence average salary rates across the tech and digital sector, with the city continuing to attract a young, ambitious and more international demographic. This cements Berlin’s position as an aspirational destination for Europe’s hottest new scaleups with most having at least a satellite office in the city. It also continues to positively impact the cities diverse and creative culture.”
“That said, the impact of increased home working continues to put pressure on Hiring Managers looking for more experienced digital talent, particularly in the areas of software development, big data, and cloud. Much of the most experienced tech talent in the city will be inundated with competitive offers for fully remote roles from as far away as Edinburgh but if history has taught us anything, it’s that the allure of Berlin’s vibrant culture and natural beauty will always cement it as a popular home for digital talent.”
The technology hiring market is hotter than ever before.
